At this firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

Fresh out of college, I walked out as an undergraduate with an eclectic and wide-ranging skillset.  I focused on developing a well-rounded palate in non-correlating fields.  Earning a BFA in technical theater design and engineering gave me the technical skills to be a professional sound engineer.  While in school I worked full time as a diesel mechanic to pay for the education.  And to fill in the gaps of any spare time, I found myself working on the phones in technical support for a large computer manufacturer.  These skills combined landed me in the federal investigation world, where I spent 13 years in varying roles conducting investigations involving national security.  While an Investigator, I earned an MBA degree where I learned I loved the investing and financial services world.  After a successful investigation career, I wanted to switch gears to focus on my passion.  In 2014, I joined Edward Jones where I spent six years as a Financial Advisor.  In early 2021, I started Eagle Wealth Planning LLC to break out of the corporate mold.

At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

My reason for becoming a financial professional is deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives.

No one strategy fits everyone, which is why every client gets my undivided attention—from planning to execution to follow-up. I take a proactive approach to helping you develop a strategy to address your financial goals and objectives, using the most efficient methods available.

My first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. I want to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of my foundation of success.

I have resided in the Kansas City metro area for the last 22 years.  My wife, Aleesa, and I are raising our two daughters, Amelia and Jenna, in the semi-rural town of Kearney, MO, just outside of Kansas City.  We are members of Kearney First Baptist church, active in our girl's activities, attendees of arts/theater performances, and fans of the Chiefs football team.  I feel a commitment to my community and serve as an advisory member of the Kearney Enrichment Council and the Kearney Education Foundation, both 501c(3) organizations.  Additionally, I'm a member of the Kearney Rotary Club and have served as club president and assistant district governor.
